Gymnastic Girls!

A friend's little girl has a big birthday next week, and her party theme is gymnastics. I made her an over shirt with her favorite activity on it and then put her name and age on her leotard. Hopefully she will "flip" over them! :)

Landon Applique Letters

This is a new applique font I ordered for a friend's shirt. I LLOOVVVEEE it! It is a cute applique letter, then you can add an extra color on top of the regular stitch. Very cute for boys!

More Christmas Ideas

I have been knee deep in Halloween designs for a while, so now that I am caught up I couldn't wait to try out some appliques I had for Christmas!

This is just a peace sign, but I added the "on earth". I put it on a dish towel and did a coordinating cross. I also think this would be cute for a newborn onesie or a boy's shirt.

I love this plaid!

I am getting several orders for Christmas already, so if you KNOW you want something, go ahead and let me know!

New pumpkin and manger

I love this little manger scene. It is actually an applique design, but I just left the fabric off and did a simple outline. This is on a dish towel...

I had a request for this skinny pumpkin. It is so cute and just perfect to add a monogram!

An ode to my favorite candy...

Tuesday night I decided to make something my girls would like for Halloween . I knew Sophie wanted these witches feet:

I wanted Harper to have something different but still with the coordinating fabric. Then I remembered I had this little design that looks like those peanut butter kisses in the orange wrapping:

I love those candies! I whined when I got them as a kid because I knew they were the cheap things, but secretly loved them. As much as Harper likes candy, she will love them too!

BOO!

This is a cute design a friend asked me to do for her son. It turned out good! I just love applique letters!

The new Turkey

Girly Shirts Galore!

I had a friend who found some great pants and skirts for her little girl, but didn't want to have to pay the ridiculous prices for the matching top. So, I got to coordinate clothes! It was really fun playing Caroline's stylist for the fall....

I did a few others, but these were either new to me or look completely different than a previous sample. Now I feel inspired to tackle some pants I have for the girls that need something to match!

Christmas ornaments

These are two really cute ornaments for a brother and sister. I love this fabric because it has all the festive colors without being over the top!

A boyish Xmas....

This little dog is definitely a cute boy option for Santa!

A few things for my girls

My two little girls ask ALL the time about shirts I am making. Where are they going, who is wearing them, when will they get one...(I obviously have been busy and haven't gotten them anything lately) So, I made them a few things last night!

Harper's two year old birthday party is coming up soon. We are having a very hungry caterpillar party with our family, so this is a great shirt for that! I also made some pants (with help) to match!

Aunt Lizanne sent us a cute hair clip that had a bird on it. I made the girls shirts with the same color bird so they can look ultra cute!

Here are two very boyish shirts for two very boyish brothers!

Clemson Triplets

I have a friend in South Carolina who has triplet little kids in her life with a birthday coming up. Their mom doesn't like them to wear the same thing, but they do like to coordinate. Here are their new game day shirts! And no, I didn't plan to have a Clemson order the week of the AU/Clemson game... just luck, I guess!

Boys in Season

There must be a rash of boys being born lately. I have had several little boy gifts lately! Here are two I thought were cute...

I had a little bib and onesie set for a friend who had all pink from her daughter, but needed some boyish stuff to throw in the mix. What is more boyish than dinosaurs!!

I love this pirate ship. I have another picture of it on here, but this fabric makes it look completely different! This is a onesie and bib set.

Labor Day Projects

With a Monday with noone having to get up early, I took advantage of a late Sunday night of sewing! Besides a few baby gifts done, I did a few new designs:

This is a crown that is a little different than others because I can change out the little tiara fabric!

A sweet little pumpkin truck for all my nephews!

I finally had a request for something Auburn....

Revving it up

Here is a motorcycle I did for a friend. I am making all her dad's grandchildren a motorcycle shirt to celebrate his birthday:

At market I lucked up on a TON of makeup bags. I have made myself one, the girls one for their bows when they travel (yes, their bows have their own bag), and trying to decide on what to do with the rest. Here is a makeup bag I monogrammed for Harper's nursery worker, Miss Angel:

A few new designs

I bought a little dress at Market that I know both girls could probably wear now. With leggings, they both can share a TON of dresses. So, I didn't want a monogram on this dress, so I went with a little flower power-

My new software continues to amaze me. I found 8 of this similar style of frames called calligraphy. This is probably the middle of the road in the calligraphy set as far as ornate-ness... if that is such a word. This is for a friend's Sunday School bag:

I had to make Sophie and a few classmates tote bags to bring their work folder home from preschool. I think it turned out cute!

New Fall design and Font

On my new machine I received some new fonts. Below is one I particularly liked, called Fairy Font. Way cute for girls! Also, a new pumpkin design. I think that if I keep making Fall designs the weather will magically change where we can actually wear this stuff...

A Big Weekend for the Hobby

So, lately I have been doing a LOT of sewing, and my machine was NOT wanting to do that much sewing. It worked great when I did one or two things a day, but expecting it to do 15 things a day was not happening. So, Lee and I bumped up my machine power. I am definitely in this hobby now! I even have sewing capabilities, which is comical if you know my sewing ability. Although people have always told me the reason I was terrible at sewing was because of my sub par equipment. We will see... I do have lessons lined up soon! No lessons required for embroidery, though. It is so user friendly and I feel myself speeding up my work soon!

Here are a few new designs I sewed on the new Cadillac of machines:

This is a cute little googly-eyed monster for a little friend. I have about 8 different monsters, little girls included for matching stuff.

Cute little witch.

Cute little witch with a patch. The back of this girl has lots of thread, so sewing it on a patch then putting it on a shirt keeps little witches from having the itches! :)

By the way, I don't know where all the Auburn Fans are this year, but I have about 22 little Alabama Elephants to sew so far, and no requests for AU stuff. Any suggestions for something cute besides the normal megaphone and football patch?

Market Totes

When I was at Market I picked up several of these Market totes. I was hoping to be able to do something a little different than the normal monogram... I think they turned out cute! I am already out of these, but am going back in September to Market to get a few more!

It's almost that time...

Are you ready for football? We are now with our opposing team dresses!

My first Halloween design...

I got this little boot design and love it! I put it on one of the dish towels I got from Market ( I have tons of these, by the way). I don't like the colors I chose, but I plan on putting a ribbon on the shoes to spice it up. I can't wait to hang it on the stove!

A few new shirts

First off, I may have to change to title of my blog to "My 'the girls are halfway entertained or it is midnight and Lee is out of town' Hobby". Why do children decide that they are above a great afternoon nap? It is beyond me. Anyway, I digress.

At market I got Harper a cute turquoise jumper, so I put a red polka dot H on it....

To match Harper, Sophie got a pair of pants out of the same turquoise material, so I made Sophie a cute shirt...

I made Harper this cute little shirt. My friend showed me a similar shirt design, so I copied it a little bit:

A working machine is a marvelous thing...

I got my machine part about 2:00 today, and I have accomplished 11 successful items today! woohoo!!!

Here are a few things:

This is the new bibs I got at market. They are so easy to sew!

Here are two bibs and burp cloth sets for a friend who has a busy shower month!

These are shirts for my niece to help her stand out with her uniforms.

This is Sophie's birthday shirt. We are having a "flowery fourth" party for her, and a friend made matching skorts. I am hoping the shirt stays clean through her party so we can rewear this cute outfit!
